The Epic Basketball Club is more than young women playing the game of their lives. EPC represents the will of young women to be more than marginalized - to be respected - in every facet of society. Our young women represent more than budding consumers but agents of change for tomorrow. Where else can a young woman learn leadership, the value of intelligence and have fun? Basketball was Naismith's invention in 1891, but was introduced to women a year later by Sendra Berenson Abbott at Smith College! (Jenkins, 2011) Women have used basketball for 123 years to perfect their game. The Epic Basketball Club is the culmination of years of struggle to be recognized and respected.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the EBC to educate and empower today’s youth with confidence, commitment and integrity, so they can live a productive and successful tomorrow. Our goal is to teach young athletes respect for themselves, their peers and their community by instilling a code of ethics built on Godly principles.
